Benefits of Maturity
Romans 12:2 KJV
As is it written, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.
Have you considered 'what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.' ? What does that mean?
As we saw in the message Bible yesterday it states to
'Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.'
Unfortunately some of us don't want to really be mature in life, let alone mature in God. Some of us want to say we are mature. Some of us want to reap the benefits of maturity and not live up to maturity standards. There is a difference in being of age, grown, and mature.
Being of age means that I have reached an allowable age per society to do certain things; having full legal right.
Being grown is: (of a living thing) undergo natural development by increasing in size and changing physically; progress to maturity.
THE PROGRESS TO MATURITY...did you see that... there is a process/progression TO maturity...it doesn't just happen
The definition found for maturity states:
drawing from the power and resources within yourself, maturity is the art of being responsible for your actions, being sensitive and considerate towards others and having the ability to change and adapt to circumstances. An emotionally mature person is always adding value to himself and those around.
With maturity there is responsibility... with maturity there is accountability...with maturity there are certain freedoms.... with maturity value is not only added to you but ADDED TO OTHERS because YOU ARE AROUND...You add value..(more than material, more than financial, more than surface value....REAL value)
Know what place you are in. Are you of age. Are you grown or have you reached a place of maturity...??? Be honest....Be REAL ...
